New Jersey and Microsoft to offer Free Job Training to Job Seekers
Today the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) announced a partnership with Microsoft which will begin a new training program, named Elevate America, to give New Jerseyans free access to technology training.
Through Elevate America, Microsoft and LWD will be providing 22,500 vouchers for online training and certification in various Microsoft programs. These vouchers will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to unemployed and underemployed New Jerseyans through the State's One-Stop Career Centers.
The valuable training being offered through Elevate America will make sure New Jerseyans have the skills needed to meet the needs of new and existing businesses in the state. The training being offered ranges from basic skills to advanced courses that allow participants to earn Microsoft certification.
